• Steam: game library, playtime, and ownership data (only when you provide your Steam ID and your profile is public).

We use your data exclusively to operate and improve the LoggVault platform:

• Provide core features: game logging, reviews, ratings, vaults, and social feed.
• Display your profile and activity to other users based on your privacy settings.
• Sync your Steam library when you opt in to the integration.
• Send notifications about follows, comments, and likes.
• Improve platform performance and fix bugs.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

LoggVault uses essential cookies and local storage for:

• Authentication: keeping you signed in across sessions.
• Preferences: storing your language and theme settings.
• Functionality: maintaining session state and security tokens.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics that profile your browsing behavior.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

LoggVault shares data with third parties only as necessary to operate the service:

• Steam Web API: your Steam ID is sent to retrieve your game library. No other personal data is shared with Steam.
• Google/Apple: authentication tokens are exchanged during sign-in. We store only the minimum data needed for login.
• IGDB: no personal user data is shared with IGDB. We only query their game database.

Your public profile, reviews, and vaults may be visible to other LoggVault users and accessible via direct URL.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Authentication uses secure tokens with expiration.
• API communication is encrypted via HTTPS.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: view all your data through your profile and library pages.
• Export: download your game library as a CSV file at any time.
• Correction: edit your profile, reviews, and ratings at any time.
• Deletion: permanently delete your account and all associated data through profile settings.

Account deletion removes all data including: profile, library, reviews, comments, likes, followers, following, vaults, activities, and notifications. This action is irreversible.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of LoggVault after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
